Farm to Vase Floristry
Just as farm to table dining is healthier for people and communities and is arguably more delicious than imported food, LOCAL FLOWERS are fresher, healthier, and arguably more beautiful than imported flowers.
There are so many unique, gorgeous blooms that grow right here in Central Virginia and we use them as much as possible in our design work!
All of our designs are foam-free.
What is floral foam?
It's a chemically-imbued, non-biodegradeable block of microplastics that renders flower stems unsuitable for composting.
Unfortunately, it remains the industry standard mechanic for event florals.
As a sustainable florist, we do not use floral foam and we compost all of our organic waste.

In addition to sourcing blooms from local farms, we maintain an urban flower farm in Charlottesville where we grow flowers on unused city lots to delight our neighbors, customers, and pollinators.
